Enzyme release from digitonin treated L. mexicana mexicana promastigotes. Enzyme release from digitonin-treated cells was performed as described in Materials and Methods. Marker enzymes with known subcellular localization are: glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase for the cytosol, hexokinase for the glycosome, and glutamate dehydrogenase for the mitochondrion.
