MTRR is highly expressed at E9.5 within the developing neural tube and placenta. Expression of β-galactosidase is shown in an Mtrr+/gt embryo (A) and the labyrinth layer of the Mtrr+/gt placenta (C) at E9.5, and in an Mtrr+/+ littermate embryo (B) and Mtrr+/+ placenta (D).
