Figure 6. — Rate of loss analysis of pEPHZ-LDLR. pEPHZ-LDLR clones, cl 1 and cl 2, grown in the absence of selection, show a rate of loss of 0.2 and 2.4% respectively. These values have been calculated using a first order rate of loss model (λ = (−1/t)(ln N_t/N₀) between time points zero and 84 days (118.6 generations) for cl 1 and zero and 28 days (39.5 generations) for cl 2) considering CHO replication time to be 17 h.
