Multiple alignment of the E. coli K12 YeaZ sequence with orthologous bacterial sequences. Solid red boxes correspond to strictly conserved residues, while residues conserved in >70% of aligned sequences are coloured red. The multiple alignment was generated using the T-coffee software (http://www.igs.cnrs-mrs.fr/Tcoffee/tcoffee_cgi/index.cgi; Poirot et al., 2004). Sequences in the alignment are named YeaZ or the organism abbreviation according to SWISS-PROT.
