Growth of Kv3.1+/− and Kv3.1−/− mice. Wild-type and Kv3.1 mutants (129SvEMS) were monitored for their body weights. Male and female homozygous Kv3.1−/− mice had significantly lower weights than their heterozygous littermates (mean ± SE; ∗, P < 0.05; ∗∗, P < 0.01; ∗∗∗, P < 0.001; ∗∗∗∗, P < 0.0001; two-tailed Student’s t test).
