The duplex concentration was 1.5 μM, and the third-strand-to-duplex ratio was 0:1 (•), 0.33:1 (○), 0.66:1 (▪), and 1:1 (□). Experiments were carried out in a 10 mM cacodylate buffer (pH 6.2) containing 0.1 M NaCl.
