Three forms of the GABAρ1 receptor. A human retina cDNA library was pooled and screened by PCR. Two extra amplicons, besides the original form of GABAρ1, were found in different pools. Lane 1 corresponds to the original human ρ1 cloned initially and used as control, lane 2 corresponds to a positive pool with GABAρ1Δ51, and lane 3 corresponds to GABAρ1Δ450.
