Cardiac lipid accumulation in 18-day-old MHC-ACS mice. Lipids were extracted from frozen ventricular tissues of wild-type and transgenic (O7) mice. Triacylglycerols (a), cholesteryl esters (b), choline glycerophospholipids (c), and ethanolamine glycerophospholipids (d), were quantified. Data from wild-type and transgenic mice are displayed with filled and open bars, respectively. Data for each measurement report the mean of a minimum of five animals ± SE.
