The fraction of cis dAdo adducts formed by (+)-anti-BPDE or the corresponding enantiomer of trans-BPDCH as a function of sodium chloride or sodium nitrate concentration (fraction cis + trans adducts = total adducts). Reaction conditions and adduct analysis were as described in Materials and Methods. The curves were obtained by fitting the data points to Eq. 1 using nonlinear regression as described in the text; see Table 1 for curve parameters.
