The yield of cis and trans dAdo adduct formation by anti-BPDE or trans-BPDCH as a function of sodium chloride concentration. The amount of adduct formed was divided by the amount of epoxide or chlorohydrin initially added. The normalized yield is independent of hydrocarbon concentration as long as dAdo is present in large excess. Reaction conditions, adduct analysis, and the calculation of the yield were as described in Materials and Methods.
