(C and D) ScN2a cells expressing MHM2-Qa(−). All the ScN2a cells were incubated with α-PrP 3F4 mAb at 4°C for 1 h; cells shown in B and D were then chased for 45 min at 37°C. The transmembrane MHM2-Qa(−) accumulated in the perinuclear region after treatment at 37°C, whereas MHM2-Qa(+) remained on or near the cell surface.
