(A) Western blot analysis indicates that glia constitutively express nNOS and contain barely detectable levels of eNOS, and at baseline iNOS is undetectable. (B) Electrophoretic mobility shift assays demonstrate that in wild-type glial cultures PDTC (100 μM) induces NFκB activation at 120 min. (C) Electrophoretic mobility shift assays show that in nNOS− glial cultures PDTC massively induces NFκB activation after 30 min of treatment, and the induction continues until 2 h.
