Peptide-based inhibition of in vitro assembly of C1-82. (A) Kinetics of in vitro assembly with C1-82 (760 pmol) initiated with 38 pmol of IRES alone or together with 3.8 nmol of various peptides. (B) EMSA (electrophoresis mobility shift assay) (0.8% agarose) of 16 nmol of each peptide mixed with 16 pmol of IRES. Mixing was performed 10 minutes prior to loading the gel. The gel was stained with ethidium bromide and photographed using a digital camera under UV254nm.
