The costs of the participatory mapping for a total of three wards (16.8 km2) with a total of 589 TCUs are calculated on the following basis: Two CORPs per day with a daily remuneration of TSh 3,000 per person, with five working days per week over a period of six months. Exchange rate: TSh 1,000 = USD 0.88 (source: http://www.oanda.com, September 1, 2005). The amount for item "aerial photographs" may vary due to availability; adequate imagery might be freely available, e.g. from Google Earthâ„¢.
