Effect of in vivo NGF treatment on SCLC tumor growth in athymic mice. 20 Nu/Nu mice were xenografted with 107 NCI-N-592 cells in the dorsal region. After the formation of tumors of 30 ± 2 mm3, animals were divided into two groups, treated with either saline or NGF (1 μg/g body weight; s.c.) once a day for 21 consecutive days, and examined for tumor growth.
