Requirement of the C-terminal portion of the UL9 protein to unwind box I substrate in the presence of ICP8. The wild-type UL9 protein and mutant UL9 protein (UL9DM27) (2 pmol) each were incubated with increasing amounts of ICP8 and box I substrate (2 pmol) for 60 min at 37°C.
