Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) products obtained from diabetic (5) and nondiabetic (5) human atrial appendages. Total RNA was reverse-transcribed using oligo dT12–18 and the first strand cDNA was subjected to amplification by PCR.
