DMSO growth rescue of I278T expressing S. cerevisiae. Yeast strain WY35 (αleu2 ura3 ade2 trp1 cys4::LEU2) was transformed with an expression plasmid expressing either wild-type human CBS (pHCBS) or I278T CBS (pI278T). Yeast were diluted to an OD₆₀₀ of 0.05 in SC-cys media with the indicated supplementation of DMSO in 384-well plates as described in ‘Materials and methods’. OD was measured at the indicated times using a plate reader. Data shown are the averages of three wells.
