Western blot analysis of tmRNA substrates. Each protein was produced with six histidine residues at the N terminus in a C. crescentus strain containing tmRNA-DD and purified. Western blots using PentaHis antibody were used to determine the mobility of the full-length protein (arrows), and blots using anti-DD antibody were used to identify tagged species.
