Colocalization of D1 receptor and Na+,K+-ATPase in LLCPK-1 cells in response to nitecapone. Cells were treated with 5 μM nitecapone for 20 min and double-labeled for D1 receptor (red) and Na+,K+-ATPase (green) (16, 19, 20). Colocalization of D1 (red) and Na+,K+-ATPase (green) is seen as yellow. In the structure extending to the right of the upper cell only Na+,K+-ATPase is present, demonstrating that no significant crosstalk between the red and green channels was detected.
