Inducible DNA-binding activity of the St-domain. Rat primary cardiac cells were treated for 2 hr with AngII peptide (1 × 10⁻⁷ M), IL-2 (100 ng/ml), and IL-6 (30 ng/ml), after which nuclear extracts were obtained and analyzed by GMSA using an end-labeled wild-type St-domain DNA as probe. The specificity of the complexes was evaluated with unlabeled St-domain (W) and mutated St-domain (M) as competitors.
