ONOO⁻ inhibition improves the endothelium–leukocyte interactions. Mice were in sham, MSI and SSI groups. The leukocyte rolling (a) and adhesion (b) were evaluated by intravital microscopy in the mesentery 2 and 4 h after CLP, respectively. Animals were pretreated, s.c., with saline or UA (100 mg kg⁻¹) 1 h before SSI.
