Wild-type (A) or iPLA2β-null (B) mice were fed a normal mouse chow diet after weaning until they were 8 weeks of age. Thereafter, they were randomized to receive normal chow (closed squares) or a high fat diet (closed circles) for 6 months. Intraperitoneal glucose-tolerance testing was then performed after an overnight fast. Values represent mean ± S.E. (n = 18). A single asterisk denotes p < 0.05, and a double asterisk denotes p < 0.005 versus normal chow.
