(A) Schematic of the D-loop reaction.

(B) D-loop reactions were carried out with Rad51 and Rad54 in the presence of an increasing concentration of KCl (25, 50, and 110 mM). Either free or chromatinized duplex DNA template was used, as indicated.

(C) D-loop reactions were carried out with Rad51 and rad54 Δ129 with an increasing concentration of KCl (25, 50, 80, and 110 mM). Either free or chromatinized duplex DNA template was used, as indicated.
