The numbers represent the in vivo crosslinking efficiency of zeste protein to the proximal promoter and BXD element in each transgenic construct, relative to the efficiency of crosslinking to the proximal promoter of the Uβ Δ−200/−31 transgene (see Materials and Methods for quantitation methods). No values for crosslinking to the BXD element in ssDpry or 60P1 transformants are given because the enhancer element is not present in these constructs.
