(A) At 24 h after addition of tetracycline, TbVTC1 expression could no longer be detected by Western blot analysis. Each lane was loaded with 40 μg of protein of whole cell lysates. Note that the amount of protein loaded was higher and the exposure time was longer than in (Figure 2D), to obtain valid comparisons with signals obtained after induction (upper panel). The blot was reprobed with monoclonal antibody against α-tubulin as a loading control (lower panel).
