Fibroblast monolayers were preincubated with ³H-FC-labeled LDL enriched with FC [10% (wt/wt) relative to FC in native LDL] or the same proportion of oxysterol for 60 min at 15°C, then brought to 31°C for 3 min. ³H-FC accessible to cholesterol oxidase was measured over 4 h at 0–2°C. Values shown are means (±SD) relative to unmodified LDL.
