(A and B) Bub1-depleted extracts were supplemented either with buffer (Buf) or with in vitro–translated wild-type (WT) or kinase-dead (K871R) versions of X. laevis Bub1. (A) Mitotic chromatin assembled in these and mock-depleted extracts were analyzed for the abundance of Bub1, Sgo, and the components of the CPC by Western blotting.
