Glutamine deprivation depletes intermediates of the Krebs cycle. (A) IER-MYC–C9DN cells were incubated in the presence of OHT (MYCON) or ethanol (MYCOFF) for 24 h and then in the medium with or without glutamine for the indicated time. The cells were then collected at the indicated times to determine the concentration of intracellular metabolites by CE-MS (Materials and methods). Duplicate samples were prepared from independent plates. The result of one experiment is presented. The results of two more independent experiments are presented in Table S1.
