Examples of upright and inverted stimuli presented to subjects in the Orientation matching task. Despite the lack of a significant two-sample difference between performance in the experimental and control groups, the profound low-level differences in these two images make it unlikely that the set of familiar faces selected by the Experimental group introduces a confounding factor in this task.
