Drop assay of the 13 nickel-resistant clones obtained from the screening of the metagenomic libraries on LB plates containing 2 mM Ni using serial dilutions (0 to 10−4) from cultures grown overnight. DH5α(pSKII+) was used as a negative control. Each assay was performed at least three times using independent cultures.
