The absolute values of the parameters s, g and V1/2 obtained from the fits of the ramp (−100 to +200 mV) I–V curves to eqn (6) in the Methods. The data are given as means ±s.e.m. and are grouped according to the different experimental conditions (control or agonist) onto which BCTC was applied. To assess statistical significance, unpaired t test was performed between the parameters obtained in the absence (‘no drug’) and presence of BCTC for each antagonist condition, and significance indicated:
