IFN signaling in established replicon cell lines. Each cured IFN resistant and sensitive cell lines were transfected with the pISRE-Luc plasmid. The activation of IFN promoter in the replicon cell lines was determined in the presence or absence of IFN-α2b (1000 IU/ml) after 24 hours. All nine interferon resistant cell lines have lower activation of IFN-promoter as compared to interferon sensitive cell lines.
