In the wild type the ABa cell divided with a left-right orientation, and its daughter cell, ABal (D), had one perfectly round nucleus. The sibling of ABal, ABar, was out of the focal plane beneath ABal. In the RNAi-treated embryo, the ABa cell divided with abnormal orientation and morphology.
