Total RNA was isolated, DNase treated, and amplified with primers recognizing hnRNA (one primer in an exon and one in an adjacent intron) or processed mRNA (primers in adjacent exons). Expression was normalized to time zero. The line in the bottom panel represents the level of integrated hnRNA (rescaled for comparison) for each time point, indicating that total mRNA corresponds to the accumulated new transcripts. Results shown are representative of those from at least three independent experiments.
