Displacement of dehydroergosterol (DHE) by various ceramide analogues: A) C12:0-ceramide and its Analogues. B) C16:0-ceramide and its analogues. Samples containing ceramide or ceramide Analogues were composed of 19.5:18:37.5:12.5:12.5 DPPC:ceramide:12-SLPC:DHE:chol (F samples) or the same mixture with DOPC in place of 12-SLPC (Fo samples). Samples without ceramide were composed of 37.5:37.5:12.5:12.5 DPPC:12-SLPC:DHE:chol (F samples) or the same mixture with DOPC in place of 12-SLPC (Fo samples). Average values and the range from duplicate samples are shown.
