SDS/PAGE and Western blot analyses of a partially purified recombinant maltose-binding protein–domain I fusion protein. (A) The protein was analyzed by SDS/PAGE, and the gel was stained with Coomassie blue. Lanes: 1, protein standards with molecular weights (in kDa) of 200, 97, 68, 43, 29, and 18; 2, cell-free extract of the induced E. coli; 3, 0–55% ammonium sulfate fraction; 4, fraction purified by affinity chromatography; 5, chicken FAS.
