The chromatographic trace displayed is a selected MS/MS reaction monitoring (SRM) of m/z 287 → m/z 269 to indicate oxygenated E1. E1-quinol is present at a concentration ≈15× higher than the major cytochrome P450 metabolite 2,3-dihydroxyestra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one (2-OH-E1).
