Figure 3. — (A) Capped and polyadenylated Globin-renilla RNAs (+/+) and uncapped and non-polyadenylated HCV-renilla RNAs (−/−) were translated in the untreated reticulocyte lysate that had been pre-incubated with 50, 100 or 250 ng of GST-Paip2 recombinant protein or (B) 10, 20 or 30 ng of free poly(rA). Protein production was determined by densitometric quantification of the renilla protein product and is expressed as percent of the control (no inhibitor added, set to 100%). Data were obtained from densitometric analyses of at least three independent experiments and are expressed as means ± SD.
