Activated Kalirin/Trio GEF1 substrate Rho proteins produce a phenotype similar to that of GEF1 overexpression. EGFP (control) and EGFP-fusion proteins of Rac1(Q61L) and RhoG(Q61L) were expressed in AtT-20 cells. Hormone content was visualized with antiserum that recognizes POMC and mature ACTH. To assess cellular content of hormone, maximal projection images are shown, as in Figure 2. Note the perinuclear localization of RhoG(Q61L) in moderate expressors (*). For POMC, magnifications of the insets are shown in the bottom panel.
