Except as otherwise noted, simulations were based on a retinal size of 3.65 mm² and used a time step of 25 ms (indicated by vertical gray lines). Mean (closed circles) and standard deviation (vertical bars) are shown. The model is stable across a wide range of simulation time steps and retinal sizes.
