Figure 5. — The appearance of parasite-specific IgG is coincident with DCs recruitment into Leishmania lesions. Accumulation of DCs into skin lesions of L. major–infected C57BL/6 mice (10³ metacyclic promastigotes intradermally, day 0) was determined as described previously. In parallel, the anti-Leishmania antibody response was monitored in the serum by ELISA (mean ± SEM, n = 5 mice). One out of two independent experiments with similar results is shown.
