The images show that although LIT1 overexpression (Δlit1 + LIT1 line) rescues the ability of Δlit1 amastigotes to replicate intracellularly, expansion of Lamp1-positive membranes surrounding the parasitophorous vacuoles is not restored to wild-type levels.
