Inflammatory mediator levels in the lung homogenates of LPS-challenged NKCC1+/+ and NKCC1−/− mice. No significant difference was observed in the levels of TNF-α, KC, and MIP-2 between NKCC1+/+ and NKCC1−/− mice. However, NKCC1−/− mice (P = 0.05) exhibited slightly but significantly higher levels of IL-6 in comparison to littermate controls.
