Table 1.

Values of formant frequencies and bandwidths for French vowels adapted from Tessier (2001). Fi is the center frequency of the i-th formant in Hertz. The bandwidth Δ fi is given in Hertz, between braces. For all vowels, F4 = 3300 Hz (Δf4 = 250 Hz), F5 = 3850 Hz (Δf5 = 300 Hz), and F6 = 4900 Hz (Δf6 = 1000 Hz).
