Effect of T7 lysozyme on cross-linking. A transcription mixture was split in two halves. One received a 4-fold molar excess of T7 lysozyme over T7 RNAP. The other received a compensating volume of lysozyme storage buffer. Then T7 RNAP was added to both tubes and the reactions were incubated at 37°C for 10 min followed by UV irradiation. Asterisk indicates the [³²P]NTP present in the reactions. All reactions contained only cold GTP-BP.
