β-glucanase hypersensitivity of ags1–1^ts cells. ags1–1^ts cells (strain FH021) and wild-type cells (strain FH023) were grown first at 19°C and then at 37°C for 4 hr (1–2 generation times). Cells then were incubated in 20 μg/ml of Zymolyase-20T at 28°C under continuous shaking. Cell lysis was monitored by measurement of OD₅₉₅ (mean ± SD; n = 3).
