Wound assay for the detection of actinin-4 in cells forced to be motile. An artificial linear defect was introduced in confluent monolayers of A-431 cells. The expression of actinin-4 is shown by immunofluorescence microscopy. The cells along the edges of the wound (A) and the cells migrating into the wound (B–D) overexpress actinin-4.
