Phase lag between the applied fluid shear stress and the resulting displacement during oscillatory flow measured using different frequencies and bead types. A statistically significant decrease in phase lag with increasing frequency was observed. Using different bead types did not cause a statistical difference. The small magnitudes of the phase lags (3~10°) suggest that viscous effects were small in our experiments.
