Primary parameters evaluating basal secretion of wild-type (C57BL/6) and Cx32 (−/−) pancreatic acini. Although the area of hemolytic plaques was not different, acini from Cx32 (−/−) mice showed higher proportion of secreting acini as compared with wild-type mice. For each experiment, the proportion of plaque-forming acini from Cx32 (−/−) mice and the area of their hemolytic plaques were normalized to values obtained for wild-type acini and averaged.
